We had such a lovely week at Firwood Cottage. Janet and Stewart made us feel so at home, and all their thoughtfulness was very much appreciated. Stewart's extensive knowledge on the best places to spot Scottish wildlife really helped to make our visit to Scotland truly memorable. Among the birds and animals were we able to see (in November) were a Golden Eagle, Dolphins, Grey Seals, Merganzer, Black Cap along with 21 other bird species in just the cottage feeders alone, and finally on the last day a long sought after Crested Tit! (thanks again to Stewart's expertise!) Firwood Cottage will be seeing us again as soon as we can get back.

Thank you both for making us feel so welcome when we arrived( and the Red Squirrels on the feeders).
Excellent accomadation. Great wildlife, especially in the garden. Stewart's expertise of where to see the wildlife is second to none.
This was our first trip to The Highlands, and it won't be our last. The weather in July was nice and we had no problem with Midgies.
It isn't until you actually get there that you can actually apreciate it.The scenery is terrific. Everbody should at least do it once.

*Cosy chalet and a warm welcome. A great base for birdwatching. We enjoyed watching all the birds and red squirrels each morning whilst having breakfast. Lovely walks. ~ LR Beds.
